IMG_1954 (1)We went to a great auction on Labor day! It was bittersweet however, a fellow antiquer passed away and a lifetime of his treasures were sold We all bought a little piece of Walter’s collection.  I found several bargains, oil lamps always catch my eye, but everyone else’s too! But I was able to get a few.DSC06530And I was thrilled to be the winning bidder and take home a set of bone handled flatware! When polished up, they will be incredibly gorgeous! I’ve always admired them and now they’ll be cleaned polished, used and loved!

The Jardiniere jumped out and screamed at me, it reminded me of something my mother had when I was little. I was delighted to see there was only one other bidder, it was meant to be mine! it The top planter has a small chip that doesn’t bother me at all and it kept the price down considerably.DSC06527The fall will bring many farm auctions and the promise of more treasures! Can’t wait!
