Sirloin Kabobs

Sirloin steak is marinated in a savory concoction, skewered along with tomatoes, mushrooms and onion and grilled to perfection! Very easy, great for entertaining!


  • 1 lb of sirloin steak
  • 20 cherry tomatoes
  • 20 button, or baby bella mushrooms
  • 1 medium red onion, cut into pieces


  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 Tbs red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbs of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbs of honey
  • 4 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 sprig of rosemary
  • 2 -3 sprigs of thyme
  • 1/2 tsp of ground black pepper
  • 4-5 green onions, white and green, chopped

Serves 3 – 4

Start by making the marinade:
Add all ingredients in a medium bowl, whisk and let rest at room temperature so they can all get acquainted.DSC06457Trim the sirloin of fat and cut it into 1 1/2 inch cubesDSC06466Place them in a large ziplock and pour in the marinade.DSC06469Refrigerate for at least 5-6 hours or overnight. Remove from the fridge, take the meat out of the marinade and let it come to room temperature. Reserve the marinade for basting during grilling. Pat the sirloin dry and skewer the along with the mushrooms, onion and cherry tomatoes. Drizzle with oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper.DSC06483Prepare the grill, always oiling the grate. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, basting occasionally with the marinade. All done!       Thanks Brian, I was pretty young, 17. And I must say the sirloin kabobs are amazing!
